ABOUT THE WORK
Marathon in Rom61 took place inside the gallery Rom61, Bergen. A room of 56m2.
For this performance I ran a marathon inside the room while tracing my run with charcoal on the paintings installed for the exhibition. Every half hour I would mark the time and distance on a painting as a way for the audience to follow the run. Afterward the traces from the performance stood as an installation as part of the exhibition There Is No Sincerity Like Irony.
