Rest Is History consists of 100 glazed vases presented in a grid on the floor. The work explores the race and the vase, and their practical, historical, cultural and symbolic function and meaning. The vases are a tribute to what has been achieved, but also a commentary on more typical presentations of reaching the finishing line; of winning. They are presented as objects, as storytellers, and as vessels and are activated in this regard during the performance History Is Now. 

History Is Now is a 30 minutes story telling performance putting the different scenes into a narrative that gives an understanding of the history of running and its influence and adaption to common language, behaviour and popular culture. What are we running from? Where too, and with whom?
